Faire Announces First-Ever Small Business Grant Program for Retailers

As part of Faire’s commitment to bolstering the growth of our independent retail community and making it easier than ever to open a retail business, we are proud to announce our first-ever small business grant program. This program will help six entrepreneurs from the U.S. achieve their dreams of opening a store by awarding them $5,000 to stock the shelves of their newly-opened shops with unique products from the Faire marketplace. 

Small business owners face limited funding options, and it can be challenging to find enough capital to cover all of the costs related to opening a new store. Faire provides critical funding options through our payment terms offering, Open with Faire, and now this grant program. Each option is designed to help shop owners buy the merchandise they need to open and grow their business. 

It takes less than ten minutes for new retailers to apply for the grant. First, retailers are asked to submit some business and financial information before then sharing a short 3 minute video detailing the vision for their dream store, highlighting how the $5,000 towards inventory on Faire will help bring it to life. Beginning September 1st, a panel of judges will carefully review each eligible submission to select the final recipients. The grant winners will be announced at the end of September, 2024.
