Faire, the startup focused on empowering the multi-hundred-billion-dollar local retailer and maker market, has announced they are opening their third office in downtown Salt Lake City.y. The brand’s tagline ‘The Future is Local’ guides how they serve their customers and shapes the vision Faire’s leadership is using to scale the business. Faire has rapidly grown to a team of 135 across its San Francisco and Toronto area headquarters since being founded in 2017 and is looking to Salt Lake City to continue driving its innovative customer experience forward.
Faire has raised $116 million to date from investors including Forerunner Ventures, Founders Fund, Khosla Ventures, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Sequoia Capital, and Y Combinator. They plan to hire ten Customer Support Specialists and a Customer Support Team Manager to begin working in their downtown Salt Lake City office by the end of this summer.
“The Salt Lake City office is an important step forward for our core business and for our customers,” said Max Rhodes, co-founder and CEO of Faire. “We have over 5,000 makers and 30,000 stores on our platform – more locations than Walmart, Nordstrom, and Walgreens combined – and our mission is to empower each one of them to grow thriving businesses. Our customer experience team is how we are able to build community with our customers and find new ways to give them advantages that they’ve never had before.”
Salt Lake City stood out to Faire from a list of other top markets considered for the expansion. Utah offers a deep talent pool and an unmatched propensity for multilingual candidates that will help the company further develop its customer teams. The first ten hires will help lay the foundation for Faire to build a thriving Salt Lake City office for years to come.
